    Description

Cucamelon (Melothria scabra), also affectionately known as the Mexican Sour Gherkin or Mouse Melon, is an extraordinary open-pollinated heirloom vining crop that yields heavy masses of miniature, grape-sized fruits resembling tiny watermelon replicas. Growing on fine, fast-climbing vines reaching 6 to 10 feet in length, it produces abundant 1-inch fruits with a crisp, crunchy bite and a refreshing, tangy flavor profile described as cucumber with a zest of lime. Highly prolific, heat-resilient, and virtually pest-free, Cucamelon is an internet favorite and market standout enjoyed fresh off the vine, tossed into salads, or pickled whole.
