    Description

Spinach 'Viroflay Giant Nobel' (Spinacia oleracea), often sold simply as Giant Nobel, is a renowned 1950 All-America Selections winning open-pollinated heirloom. Valued for its enormous production capacity and smooth, broad foliage, it produces massive rosettes that can spread up to 25 inches across. The extra-large, thick, dark green leaves remain exceptionally tender and sweet, making them versatile for both fresh baby leaf picking and full-sized cooking greens. Demonstrating slower bolting characteristics than older spinach varieties, Giant Nobel excels in early spring and late autumn plantings, producing heavy yields for fresh salads, freezing, canning, or steaming.
